Ancient City

Covering an area of five rai, the ancient city is an indoor museum featuring a number of small models of historic attractions throughout Thailand.

Location: Sukhumvit Rd, Samut Prakan

Opening Hours: everyday from 8am to 5pm

Ban Cheng Museum _ Suan Pakkad Palace

The late Princess Chumphot of Nagara Svarga first opened the palace to the public in 1959. There are several lacquer pavilions and collections of ancient Thai objects d’art and artifacts.

Opening hours: Everyday from 9am to 4pm.

Bangkok Herbarium Museum

If you want to study plants, this museum in Kasetsart university is where you should go.

Bangkok National Museum

The National Museum is dedicated to preserving the national cultural heritage through collections of art, archaeological and cultural objects in the palace of Wang Na Compound near the Grand Palace.

Location: Naprathatt Rd, Pranakorn

Opening hours: Wednesday to Sunday from 9am-3.30pm (except the annual holidays)

Admission fee: 20baht for Thais, 40baht for other races (free for student)

Chao Phraya Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) Museum

A Thai teak house exhibiting Thai traditional arts and culture.

Children’s Discovery Museum

In the museum there are seven main sections, such as science, nature and environment, culture and society and young children’s activities.

Doll’s Museum

You can find various types of dolls from many countries throughout the world.

Kam Thieng House Museum-The Saekng Aroon House

The Kamtheing House is a 160-year-old authentic northern Thai teak house moved in perfect condition from Chiang Mai to Bangkok to keep a specimen of the fast disappearing Lanna Thai style of construction for the younger generation.

National Museum

You should spend at least half a day at the museum to have fun with science experiments and to learn all about science and technology, earth and environment as well as the support foundation of Her Majesty the Queen.

National Museum Silpa Bhirasri Memorial

Next to Silpakorn University, the museum exhibits works by famous art professors and national artists.

Prasat Museum

The Museum shows the collections from the prehistoric period to the Rattanokosin era.

Philatelic Museum

If you’re a stamp collector you can’t miss this museum. It exhibits stamp from the period of king Rama V to the present as well as those from many different countries. There is also a philatelic library present.

Rare Stone Museum

Thousands of samples of rare stones, fossils, dinosaur eggs await your discovery.

Royal Barge National Museum

The museum shows the collection of royal barge from the Thonburi to the rattanakosin periods.

You can learn about the Thai royal air force and see real combat aircraft.

Royal Thai Navy Museum

The museum tells you about the history of the Royal Thai Navy and shows different models of the Royal Barges and Battleships.

The Bank of Thailand Museum

The museum is all about currency and its development.

The Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture
